Hillsong Church

Hillsong Church was founded in 1983 as Hills Christian Life Center, and today comprises 15,000 members.

Mission statement:

To reach and influence the world by building
a large Bible-based church, changing mindsets
and empowering people to lead and impact in every sphere of life

The church is located in North-west Sydney and has two main campuses: the Hills campus and the City campus. John Howard, Australia's prime minister, attended the opening of Hillsong's convention center in 2002.

Worship pastor Darlene Zschech has written such world-renowned songs as Shout to the Lord and many others. The church also produces a weekly half-hour TV show entitled "Hillsong," which is aired in 160 countries.
